For most of us our first real interaction with an adult outside of our family is with a teacher. We respect, admire and love those who chose to teach, because it is so much more than just a job, it’s a calling with significant purpose and impact. At St. Andrews, we are behind our teaching community 100%! We understand teachers, our education department faculty and staff have over 200 combined years teaching inside of the classroom. Because of that great depth of knowledge, we know precisely what skills and qualifications are required to become successful educators.
We’ve made the education program at St. Andrews University exceptionally convenient for the adult learner. Our program is fully online, with of course the exception of the state required in class internship. Our program brings exceptional value and access to North Carolina residents who are either currently working in the school districts as Teachers Assistants or those who have always thought about becoming a teacher, but just never had the opportunity or resources to do so. For those who already have a bachelor’s degree, we also offer a licensure program to prepare you to become state certified as an educator inside of North Carolina.
